About India
India is one of Asia's most misunderstood remote work destinations. There is no dedicated digital nomad visa yet, but short and medium stays are still practical for many remote workers using tourist or business entry routes with sensible compliance planning. The upside is unusually strong: enormous city variety, excellent value once you understand neighbourhoods, world-class private healthcare, and a deep bench of English-speaking service infrastructure in the major hubs. Bangalore is the most operationally mature base, Mumbai and Delhi offer scale and energy, Goa works for beach-first setups, and secondary cities like Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Kolkata are much more viable than most people assume. This hub brings together the real operational pieces: visas, tax residency thresholds, coworking, SIM cards, health insurance, banking, and regional trade-offs.
