The food — khao soi, Thai curries, night markets — is extraordinary at $1–3 per meal. Monthly costs of $800–1,200 deliver a genuinely comfortable life. The nomad community is large and self-sustaining. October through February is the best weather window. The Thailand LTR visa now provides a proper 10-year pathway for higher earners.
